Purpose of the adventure: to show the importance of the Word of God, perseverance and that it is worth to face all difficult to receive the treasure that God has for each one of us.
Hi friends, today we will go on a hike and during this adventure we will show to you how will be your journey of faith. Your walk can be hard, but if you use the tools that God has given you, you can get through it. And the best of all is the surprise that we will receive in the end! The greatest and priceless treasure!
During this year we have been feeding your faith with some teachings.
Now I want to know who remember the themes.
Print 8 flags and glue each theme behind one flag.
Put them in order.
You see friends, for you to go for a long journey you will need food. The Word of God is the bread, the food for your spiritual life. Everything you learn in the CBC is to feed your faith in order to receive the biggest treasure.
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
During the walk you will need to be connected with God. (show the cell phone). God wants to talk to you but you have to be ready to listen to His voice.
The Holy Spirit, our Counsellor, is represented by a compass or a map. The Holy Spirit is our special helper whom God sends to give us one direction. Although we cannot see Him, we can have His presence and hear His direction when we invite Him to be a part of our lives. He will show you wich direction you should go and best choice for you to make.
Can someone live without water? Of course no!
But this water (show a bottle of water) will quench your thirsty just for a while but the living water that Jesus promised to give you, will quench your spiritual thirsty and you will never thirsty again. In other words, you will no longer be sad or in need of something or someone to make you happy because Jesus will give you the true happiness!
You will use different aspects of your hike to show how each of these tools can help your children live a victorious life .
God made us with a “hunger in our hearts” – the desire to know Him. Without a relationship with God, people’s souls are hungry and thirsty.
Christian “family” are represented by the fact that you are hiking together, rather than alone. Encourage each other as you walk the trail. Discuss how much better it is to hike with other people who has the same faith than alone. Also bring up safety issues that would be a concern if someone were to hike by himself/herself.
And now… ta-da… the Scavenger hunt!
There is a treasure hidden inside this room but before finding this treasure, you have to find the key then, you guys can go for the treasure!
