19 Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands. 20 The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 21 While each man held his position around the camp, all the Midianites ran, crying out as they fled. (judges 7:19-21)

A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!

With only 300 men, using the trumpets, the jars and the torches, God defeated the Midianites and gave the victory to Gideon and the people of Israel.

When we use our faith and obey the Lord our God, He fights our battles for us, He gives us victory no matter how strong is our enemy.

Gideon and the 300 men were courageous to go against an army of thousands armed men with a trumpet, a jar and a torch because God was with them. We should never be afraid of the circumstances that surround us, if we just obey what the word of God says, He will give us victory.
