I want to be distinguished…

Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. Dan 6:3

Daniel had a special relationship with God, he served God with his entire heart and mind. God gave him great wisdom, which led to continual promotion. Daniel honored God, his king and others around him. Because of this, God blessed him to the point that some of the king’s officials were jealous.

They knew that the only way to accuse Daniel was to find some way to attack his faith. They tricked King Darius into making an unjust law that made it illegal to pray to anyone but the king. Daniel knew the law, but more importantly, he knew his God. He continued to pray to God every day, even with the threat of death.

As soon as King Darius heard the accusations, he was sad. He liked Daniel cause he faithfully served God and the blessing that was on Daniel’s life brought favor to Darius’ entire kingdom.

“May your God, whom you worship continually, rescue you.” (Daniel 6:16)

When we serve God truly hearted like Daniel, God favors us. When those who don’t like us, try to do bad things against us, Go protects.

We must be good to our parents, to our family members, to our friends and neighbors. That will make us distinguished just like Daniel and everyone will see the character of God in us and He will be glorified through us.

This week let us exercise:

Pray more to God and ask wisdom.

Be good to everyone around us.

Honor our parents or guardians.

May the blessings that are in us, bless our entire family.
