Lesson Sunday April 9
MOSES IS BORN Moses was born in Egypt during a very difficult time when the Israelites were slaves. To make things worse Pharaoh passed a law that every male baby born of a slave would have to be killed, only baby girls could survive. Imagine how sad the Israelite families were. They already suffered as slaves, and now they would have to give up their sons to be killed. The Israelites were tired of this suffering, and asked God to free them from that situation. That was when God decided to protect a particular baby’s life, so that baby could be used by God to free His people. Moses’s mother trusted that God would protect her son so in an act of faith, she hid her baby in a basket and put him in the Nile River.
“My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” (Psalms 121:2)
When we are obedient and willing to please God with a sincere heart, His plans for our lives can happen for example: your father can give you attention, can stop to fight inside of the house, you can have a lot of food, happy family… God is only waiting for us to act in faith and trust so that His plans can become true in our lives.
