SHYNESS

Unfortunately in our days this bad feeling accompanies many of our teens and children. Often making them lose opportunities to grow and even obey, not because they are rebellious or irresponsible, but because of the shyness that prevents them from acting.

As we can see clearly in this explanation that Bishop Macedo gave on his blog:

“When you manifest a bold faith, there is no room for shyness or any other symptom of fear. Instead, there is confidence and even impertinence, because of your conviction.

In fact, the Faith violates the hell, razes the doubts and imposes its power.

There is no way to resist the power of living faith in the living God.

The fullness of life is established in a unique way”.

FEAR

The majority of our children grow up already hearing threats from parents: “Do not leave your mother, if you leave the critter will get you, or the man with a bag will take you”… etc.  Fear is imposed on the children to force them to obey but It’s not the way discipline and obedience should be taught. As a result our children grow afraid of taking action thinking that every step she/he takes will have a bad result.

We must teach our children and teenagers that truth and obedience are weapons to overcome FEAR.
Let’s see what the Bishop Macedo has written on his blog about FEAR:

“Feelings of fear, insecurity and weakness are simply neutralized by a bigger power. Feelings such as: lack of worth, unclean conscience or religious arguments such as: my cross, my karma, trials, destiny, penance and purification, being born to suffer, unsolvable problems, and whatever else is contrary to intelligent faith is defeated on account of the rights acquired through faith in the Promises of God.

Ten lepers were healed. Only one returned to say thank you. Even though Jesus already knew beforehand that the other nine were going to be ungrateful, He still healed them all. They other nine did not deserve it. Yet they benefited because they believed in Him as a Prophet. And this was enough”.

Courage

Have you  felt a chill in your stomach ?

Nehemiah faced difficult situations but he was not afraid, He was very courageous!

The story of this man is about courage . He heard a lot of bad things and the people was frightened and had no attitudes to rebuild the walls … But Nehemiah was not afraid and did what was right.

Today we also have many courageous people like Bishop Macedo and  the pastors who leave their families and go into all the world to preach the Word of God and fight for the life of the people to change.

You can also be very courageous and always choose to do what is right.

God have not  made us to be afraid, otherwise we would  not be able to enjoy the best that He has prepared for us.

The Bible teaches us that without faith is impossible to please God.

What has prevented you from pleasing God with  your faith? Your fears.

If we don’t give our fears to God they tend to grow, sometimes out of control.  The more you are afraid, the less you live the life that God has for you.  Being afraid is like being in a prison, but God has set us free.
